61st Death Anniversary of Founder

We would fail to remember people of the past, if not for their meaningful lives on earth. And a life that has led to the empowerment of many other lives, is the one of Shri Umesh Anand Basrurker along with his wife's, Smt. Anusuyabai Basrurker, the founders of the Blind Relief Association.

On the 61st death anniversary of Shri Basrurker, the B.R.A. family gathered together for a Havan in remembrance and devotion to its dear founders.

You will be missed, Nalini Ji

We have a lasting relationship with our volunteers, and so was it with Mrs. Nalini Verma. Having been a Managing Committee member in the 90s, and a volunteer with us for the past many years, she has been closely associated like a family.

Mrs. Nalini Verma’s demise on 10 February has left us all in deep sadness.

Mrs. Verma had led a group of women working on hand embossed Braille books and later played a key role in implementing computerized Braille production. She was also one of the senior most volunteers honoured by the former JPM Students in the Volunteers Get-together held on 18 June 2018 and in the Platinum Jubilee of the Association on 14 December 2019.

Shivrathri Celebrations

For our students, festivals and special days mean more than just a celebration. It's a time when a class comes together to plan, invite and organize the day.

Shivratri was one such event and it was the turn of Class XI students to organize. With rolled up sleeves, the boys worked hard to put together the function.

The boys gathered along with the hostel staff at 08:00 pm, and also read the Shiv Chalisa together.

For those of you who missed the film of the Blind Relief Association screened in the Platinum Jubilee Function on 14 December 2019.
