75 years down the memory lane
Avtar Singh Chawla ji, Satya Pal Bharati ji, Bishan Singh ji, Prem Dutt Sharma ji who in 1950s joined as students in the Industrial Home for the Blind at Lal Kuan Badarpur which was started by the Blind Relief Association in the year 1946, shared reminiscences of the early years, especially those of the founders Sri Umesh & Smt Anusuya Basrurker.
The occasion was a get-together organised on 26 February marking the completion of 75 years of the Association’s coming into being on 26 February 1944. There were other old timers like Madam Chandra Kanta Sharma, Raj Kumar, Keshav Kumar of the sixties, and Ajay Kumar Dixit, Gulab Singh, Harish Kumar Gulati, Dayal Singh Panwar, Mukesh Gautam, Pradeep Kumar, Rajpal who shared nostalgic memories of the 1970s to 1980s. Their stories unfolding the history of development and growth of BRA kept the audience spellbound for nearly 3 hours. Hony. General Secretary Smt.Benu Nath was also present on the occasion.
