#storiesofgratitude – Rajina Begum
Rajina Begum from Guwahati, Assam called the BRA Helpline seeking help in treating her anxiety disorder. She hails from a family of 8 where her elder brother, a driver is the sole earner and her father is a diabetic patient. Unable to reach a government hospital due to the pandemic, she consulted a private hospital where the suggested medication proved to be expensive for her. With the monetary support of a donor, B.R.A was able to provide the necessary medicines at her doorstep with the assistance of a student of the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi who is also a Helpline Team member.
“My anxiety stems from being dependent on my family. I studied until 6th class and I want nothing but to find work and be independent. I very much like to thank B.R.A Helpline for this support,” says Rajina.
