Chander Prakash has been a Managing Committee Member since 2012.
Graduating from the Delhi College of Engineering in Civil Engineering in 1973, Chander Prakash went on to work with National project Construction Corporation for two years.
Later in 1975, he joined the Indian Railway Service of Engineers. Six years later when working as the Executive Engineer, Chander Prakash met with an accident when he lost his eyesight.
In 2011, as the Additional member Project – Railway Board, Chander Prakash retired from the Ministry of Railways. Post-retirement he served as Advisor in Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.
His association with the Blind Relief Association started in 1981 when Chander Prakash lost his eyesight and approached B.R.A. to study Braille. Later he finished formal training in Braille from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (Divyangjan).
As a Managing Committee Member of the Blind Relief Association, Chander Prakash has involved himself in various ways, and is currently helping with the construction of the new building.
His other interests include watching movies and travelling.
