Celebrating Helen Keller Day
As a part of their course, the trainees of Basic Computer & Office Operations Training organized a virtual celebration of the 140th birth anniversary of Helen Keller this year.
On 27 June, the function was held on Google Meet from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Sri Chandrasekhar Kulkarni, retired Braille Stenography Instructor, National Association for the Blind – Mumbai graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The trainees planned the program and also took up individual roles such as anchoring, welcoming, and delivering the vote of thanks.
Special invite Mini Mary, an alumnus of BRA’s first batch of Diploma in Computer Education program, working in State Bank of India-Bihar presented the invocation song. Mr. K. C. Pande, Hony. Executive Secretary of B.R.A. narrated the life story of Helen Keller to the guests. In paying tribute to the inspirational life of Keller, the chief guest Mr. Kulkarni also shared a few words with the online audience.
Few of B.R.A.’s staff, friends, and well-wishers joined the online event and encouraged the effort put together by the trainees.
