Visit of Dr. Christopher Nwanoro

On 31 July, a four-member team from the Lotus Initiative for the Blind, Nigeria paid a visit to the Blind Relief Association, Delhi. This included Dr. Christopher Nwanoro – President, Mr. Maduagum Okechukwu – Director (Programmes), Mr. Emmanuel Ogar Ojung – IT Consultant and Mr. Mnamdi Mdu – Consultant. A trip around the campus and observance of the various programmes run by the Association greatly interested the team, to look for opportunities to collaborate. 

Lotus Initiative For The Blind (LIB) is a non for profit and non-governmental organisation  that caters for the need of persons living with disabilities in Nigeria and globally.The NGO was established in the year 2012, and has since been very keen towards improving the lives of people living with disability. 

LIB has been actively involved in ensuring that the rights of persons living  with disabilities in Nigeria, are not trampled upon in the area of the conduct of elections, provision of social amenities, accessibility to public buildings, provision of employment, empowerment programs, education and scholarship etc.
