COVID Vaccination
The Blind Relief Association’s COVID Helpline Team collaborated with hospitals, organizations, and government centers to get the pupils, staff of the Association & Helpline, and their families vaccinated. The Helpline joined hands with Max Hospital Saket; Apollo Hospital Jasola; National Association for the Blind, New Delhi; and the government vaccination centers at Govt. School, Pandara Road and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya No.1, R.K. Puram and vaccinated a total of 251 persons between July – September 2021. A COVID vaccination drive was organized on 1 October ’21 by the Blind Relief Association in collaboration with the HOPE Oncology Clinic where 77 doses were administered to the trainees, staff of the Association, and outsiders. The outsiders were also provided a ration kit sponsored by The Akshaya Patra Foundation Special thanks to National Association for the Blind, Delhi, HOPE Oncology Clinic, and The Akshaya Patra Foundation for their support in this initiative. |
The Blind Relief Association Delhi in collaboration with HOPE Oncology Clinic and the National Association for the Blind, Delhi hosted a vaccination camp on 12 January 2022. The camp catered 70+ doses to the Association’s students, trainees, staff, and other persons with disabilities from outside. The vaccination included the first dose for those within 15-18 years of age, the second dose for persons 18-60 years old, and booster doses for the elderly. The transport was arranged by The Blind Relief Association Delhi and ration kits sponsored by DBS Foundation and The Akshaya Patra Foundation were distributed to all vaccinated. Partnering with HOPE Oncology Clinic for the fourth time, another camp was conducted on 16 February in which 65 persons received vaccination. |
