New online course on Computer Skills & IT Literacy

While the fact that Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence has taken over the world is well known, the global pandemic has made it mandatory for students, professionals, and even common men to depend greatly on technology to keep things running. With its importance weighing heavier day by day, it is highly crucial for everyone to learn and improve their computer skills.
Here is a great opportunity for you brought to you by the Blind Relief Association to master those skills by enrolling in an online training course on Computer Skills & IT Literacy for Visually Impaired.
Course overview
The training course focuses on several key areas that are critical to understanding computer concepts, mastering skills, and utilizing them effectively for personal as well as professional requirements.
The topics to be covered are:
• Computer fundamentals including hardware components, working principles, real-world applications, etc.
• Operating system including creating file/folder, understanding desktop, start menu, taskbar, notification area, control panel, etc.
• Screen reading software including JAWS, NVDA and Narrator
• Working with Microsoft Word.
• Accessing the internet including Emails, web browsing, electronic transactions, online shopping, accessing social working sites, etc.
Trainer: IT Department of the Blind Relief Association. The classes will run Monday through Saturday for two hours each day via a virtual meeting platform like Zoom, Google Meet, Skype etc.
Candidates must have a computer and a decent internet connection in order to attend the session.
