A walk in remembrance of Gandhiji
While many participated in plogging across the country including JPM School boys of Class IX – XII, a walk to the nearby religious places of worship with ‘Raghupathi Ragava Raja Ram’ playing in the background, was what the trainees at the Blind Relief Association did on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
On the morn of October 2, the trainees accompanied by a few staff members took a 8km walk from the Blind Relief Association to the Gurudwara Damdama Sahib, Centenary Methodist Church, Pandara Road Masjid and the Ram Mandir Temple.
In every place, the trainees were exposed to the different kinds of practices, prayer and worship. Beyond that, it was time of exploring the roads of Delhi and intermingling with trainees of different programmes. For many of them, the visit to religious places other their own, was a first time experience.
In remembrance of the father of the nation who believed the fundamental truth of all religions of the world, this was an attempt to perceive a few of them.
