#storiesofgratitude – Gopal
The COVID helpline of the Blind Relief Association got a call from Mr Gopal of Rohtak, Haryana seeking medical advice. He was immediately referred to the resident nurse at B.R.A, Mr Ram Murthy Mishra. Mr Gopal’s entire family tested positive for COVID and he hoped to know what to do further.
Upon talking to Mr Gopal and his family, Mr Mishra concluded that their symptoms were moderate and that a hospital visit is not needed. Mr Mishra informed him of the medications needed and nutrients that are a must in their diet. By providing data on recovered patients in India, Mr Mishra boosted the morale and insisted Mr Gopal to stay calm and avoid overthinking. Stressing on precautions, Mr Mishra informed him of the required measures recommended by World Health Organisation (WHO).
Along with this valuable advice and suggestion, we monitored their health status daily until the whole family tested negative for COVID. Mr Gopal is delighted with negative reports and thanked B.R.A helpline, particularly Mr Mishra for the support.
