World Braille Day 2020
One of the significant days in the calendar of the Blind Relief Association is the World Braille Day celebrated on 4 January.
In all its units, Braille is in use and the Association takes special efforts to teach Braille to adult trainees who either missed or dropped out of school education. Though digital technology has come into place, the Association still strongly recommends the knowledge the Braille and reflects its belief in every field and programme it works in.
As a result, every year, the Association prints and releases materials in Braille. This year the new brochure of the Association along with a specially compiled collection of articles, poems, history and lecture was released under the name “Bindhu Bindhu Sanchai.”

Post-release the gathering comprising students, staff, alumni and trainees debated on the importance and relevance of Braille in an age of technology.
